JEFFERSON COUNTY — A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:51 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, has caused closed Interstate 59 in Jefferson County, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The closure is in the Bessemer area.
“The right northbound lane on Interstate 59 near the 118 mile marker, in Jefferson County is currently closed and will be for an undetermined amount of time,” Bailey said.
Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
