JEFFERSON COUNTY — Shots fired in the parking lot of Hueytown High School during a high school basketball game Friday night drew a rapid response from sheriff’s deputies and Hueytown police, according to Lt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Money said one of the family members fired shots in the air and fled the scene with some of the involved juveniles.
Jefferson County deputies, along with officers with officers from Hueytown Police Department responded to the scene and dispersed the patrons.
The investigation is continuing. No one is in custody at this time.
