FULTONDALE — A Birmingham man picked the wrong Fultondale business to target for a theft and found out the hard way, according to the Fultondale Police.
“On Sunday, Adolph Grimmett, 61, of Birmingham, thought it was a good idea to come to Fultondale to steal beer from a local business,” police said.
Grimmett was confronted by a female clerk and he assaulted her in an attempt to flee, according to police. He discovered that this was a major mistake when the female clerk fought back.
“When we arrived on the scene the clerk was sitting on top of the offender,” police said.
Grimmett was charged with third degree robbery.
