Charles Norris Nicholas of Trussville passed away on March 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Nicholas and Gladys Nicholas Tucker, wife, Dorothy O. Nicholas and Carol Woods Nicholas. He is survived by his daughter Yvonne (John) Pierce, step-sons Gary (Kim) Woods, Scott Woods, Mike (Joy) Woods, 6 step-grandchildren, 1 great step-grandchild, and sister-in-law, Dottie Irwin.
Charles graduated from Tarrant High School and married his first wife, Dot in 1950. They were married for 39 years before she passed away in 1990. He married Carol in 1991 and was married for 26 years before her death.
Charles was a route salesman for Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 26 years and was given the honor of being Salesman of the Year for which he was very proud of. After retiring, he worked for Dunbar Sales for 20 years and drove for Enterprise Holdings for another 7 years.
He was a Mason and member of Zamora Temple. He was a member of Clearbranch Methodist Church. Charles was known by his family and many others for his generosity and service for others. He was a member of the “breakfast club” at Jack’s on Deerfoot and was also an avid fan of the University of Alabama football and Braves baseball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
