Benjamin Franklin Dollar (Frankie), loving husband and wonderful Father, went to receive his heavenly rewards Saturday, May 4, 2024. Frankie was surrounded by his family and friends and was very much aware and ready to be relieved of his physical burdens and receive the rewards of his Heavenly Father.
Preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Berla Dollar and sister Geri Dollar. Survived by his wife of 71 years, Wynelle (Nell) Dollar and his daughters, Donna Ewing (David), Beth Martin (Randy) and Patti Hood (Rusty). Special nieces and nephews: Cindy Walker (Jed), Anita Pritchett (Charles), Susan Johnson (Jimmy), Steve Edwards (Cindy) and Mike Edwards (Karen) and too many extended family members and friends too numerous to mention who he loved and felt the love they returned.
Frankie was a man of God who believed in the power of prayer and the importance of living your life as outlined in the Bible. He also embraced progress and our need to address current issues in a manner in keeping with the times. He believed in the importance of reaching all persons as everyone is in need of God in their lives on all levels.
His favorite flower was a sunflower which is always standing tall and reaching for the heavens and providing comfort and joy to all who can see.
We will miss him dearly but have the comfort of knowing he is in heaven, and we will see him there someday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Unforsaken Ministries, P. O. Box 1227, Trussville, AL 35173. (Donations can also be made through the website unforsakenministry.org) or your favorite charity in honor of Frankie.
