SHELBY COUNTY–A multi-vehicle crash has closed both lanes of Shelby County 17 (Valleydale Road) near Dogwood Circle, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Vu Quang.
The crash occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday and resulted in downed power lines blocking the roadway.
Alabama Power is currently on scene along with ALEA Highway Patrol Troopers who are monitoring the situation.

Update: As of 1:24 a.m. Wednesday the roadway has been cleared.
