JACKSON COUNTY–A Section woman succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday after her car stuck a ditch and overturned near Scottsboro last month, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.
On May 15 at approximately 1:50 p.m., 61-year-old Belinda D. Ryan was critically injured when the 2007 Acura MDX she was driving left the Alabama 35 roadway, struck a ditch and a rock embankment, and overturned.
Ryan was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
She was transported to the Huntsville Hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries while at the hospital.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
