LEEDS, Ala.–The City of Leeds is inviting citizens to take an active role in charting the city’s future during a community event centered on the city’s comprehensive plan “Imagine Leeds” this Thursday.
During the meeting, which is a part of a series of public meetings aimed at refining the city’s vision, community members will hear an update on the plan’s progress, participate in interactive exercises to determine long-term priorities, and share their thoughts on how the city should develop land.
“This is a great opportunity for citizen input and a chance to have a voice in directing the city’s future,” said Mayor David Miller.
According to the city, the comprehensive plan is an action-oriented city-wide planning process that aims to make Leeds a better place to “Live, Work, and Play.”
The plan looks to address a variety of issues including land use, transportation, housing, recreation, and economic development.
The community meeting will be held this Thursday, June 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Annex at 1412 9th Street.
