BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–The Birmingham Police Department is reporting that its partnership with Crime Stoppers has helped identify and arrest seven people suspected of committing armed robberies across the metro area since December 2023.
Suspects arrested and charged with first degree robbery include:
- Tywaun Fisher, 19, and Demontez Porter, 30, of Birmingham in connection to a robbery at the Family Dollar at 7330 1st Avenue North
- Demetrius Dial-Gaines, 30, of Birmingham in connection to a robbery at the Family Dollar at 1335 Bessemer Road
- A 16-year-old male suspect in connection to the robbery of a person at 1200 Frisco Street
- Ledarius Jones, 32, of Tarrant in connection to a robbery at the Sunoco at 6805 1st Avenue North
- Tercaria Wilburn, 25, of Center Point and Lexis Billups, 31, of Adamsville in connection to the robbery of a person at 1901 Finley Boulevard
Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $5,000 for tips from the public that lead to the solving of a felony case, a felony arrest, or the issuance of a felony warrant could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
