MONTGOMERY, Ala.–The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) announced on Thursday that there will be no planned temporary lane closures on Alabama interstate highways between Wednesday, July 3 and Sunday, July 7.
ALDOT is expecting an increase in traffic volume over the holiday weekend and is urging travelers to prioritize safe driving.
ALDOT is also encouraging travelers to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, buckle up, and eliminate distractions while driving.
