GENEVA COUNTY–A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:08 p.m. Saturday, July 13, has claimed the life of a Slocomb woman and a 6-year-old juvenile, according to troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
“Tiffany M. Cobb, 26, was fatally injured when the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup she was a passenger in collided head-on with the 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by a 16-year-old from Slocomb,” said ALEA Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said.
Tiffany Cobb was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Burkett.
The driver of the Silverado, Wesley T. Cobb, 26, of Slocomb, was injured and transported to Southeast Health in Dothan for medical treatment.
“A 6-year-old and 4-year-old, who were both passengers in the Silverado, were injured and transported to area hospitals for medical treatment,” Burkett said. “The 16-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram was also injured and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.”
On Tuesday, July 16, the 6-year-old passenger succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash and died, according to Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney.
The crash occurred on Alabama 167 near the Florida state line, approximately eight miles south of Hartford, in Geneva County.
No further information is available as troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
