WALKER COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:29 a.m. Thursday, July 25, has claimed the life of a Nauvoo man, according to Senior Trooper Cody Farrar of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
“Joseph K. McLendon, 56, was fatally injured when the 1986 Yamaha FZ600 motorcycle he was operating left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned,” Farrar said. “McLendon was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash occurred on New Oak Grove Road near Busby Church Road, approximately two miles southeast of Nauvoo, in Walker County.
No further information is available as troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
