LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala.–A 19-year-old from Florence died Thursday evening after his motorcycle struck a car near Rogersville, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.
At approximately 5:44 p.m., Sidney T. Hamilton was fatally injured when the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle he was riding struck the 2019 Honda CR-V driven by Terry L. Albright, 63, of Nanty Glo, Pa.
Hamilton was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Albright was injured and transported to Athens Limestone Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 72 near Little Elk Road, approximately two miles east of Rogersville.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
