JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala.–The Alabama Department of Transportation has announced that it will be closing lanes along Interstate 459 tonight to conduct pavement testing.
The testing will take place on lanes going in both directions between the Morgan Road Interchange near Bessemer and the U.S. 31 Interchange near Hoover.
The road closures will begin at 9 p.m., and only one lane will be closed at a time.
All lanes will be reopened no later than 5 a.m.
