BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–A Birmingham man who was the victim of a shooting last month has died, according to BPD Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Ladarrius Kennedy.
On July 29 at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot at a Chevron gas station at 1017 3rd Avenue West.
Officers arrived on the scene and found Kennedy lying unresponsive on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel transported the victim to UAB Hospital.
Kennedy succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The Birmingham Police Department is now conducting a homicide investigation into his death.
There is currently no one in custody.
