ETOWAH COUNTY – A marine-related event occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, which has resulted in the search for a missing person, according to Lieutenant Jeremy J. Burkett of the Administrative Bureau Director.
“An individual went missing on Lake Neely Henry near Canoe Creek Road and U.S. 411, southwest of the Rainbow City community in Etowah County,” Burkett said.

Currently, troopers with the ALEA Marine Patrol Division as well as ALEA’s Aviation Unit have responded to the area to assist with the search effort.
ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
