JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala.–The Alabama Department of Transportation will close down a southbound lane of Interstate 65 near Hoover tonight before starting a rolling roadblock that will temporarily shut down southbound lanes one at a time until work is completed.
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, crews will close a single outside lane of I-65 near the 253 milepost.
At 11 p.m., crews will begin the rolling roadblock, which will shut down southbound lanes for about 15 minutes at a time.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to ALDOT.
