PORTLAND, Ore. – Birmingham USF Junior driver Michael Suco, Jr. took home the Tilton Hard Charger award Sunday night in Portland, Oregon, at the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire open-wheel Championship Celebration.
The award was given to the driver who made the most passes throughout the season. Suco, Jr. led the field of talented drivers with an impressive 77 overtakes.
Suco, Jr., driving for VRD Racing, delivered solid performances with a season-best ninth-place finish and a 13th-place finish in the series’ final event at Portland International Raceway.
