OXFORD, Ala. – The Pinson Valley Indians traveled to Oxford for a Region 6 tilt on Homecoming. The Yellow Jackets were too much for Pinson and claimed a 40-7 win to remain undefeated.
The dynic duo of quarterback Mason Mims, and running back Caleb Wynn combined for 311 yards and five touchdowns on the night.
Pinson Valley’s offense was stung by the Oxford defense all night. The Indians punted the ball six times, turned it over on downs on three separate occasions, and threw an interception.
Pinson’s only points of the night came when Derrico Freeman and Christian Thomas hooked up on an 18-yard touchdown with 2:41 remaining in the third period.
Pinson travels to Shades Valley on Friday for a key region game.
