TRUSSVILLE, Ala.–A multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 59 in Trussville Tuesday morning left one dead and multiple people injured, according to TPD Lt. Clint Riner.
The wreck occurred near the Chalkville Road overpass at approximately 8 a.m. and shut down northbound and southbound lanes of I-59 for a few hours.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by the Trussville Police Department Traffic Unit.
There were three vehicles reportedly involved in the crash, and three people were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
