SPRINGVILLE, Ala.–Positive Choices Pregnancy Resource Center announced that its 5th Annual Fundraising Gala will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at Matthews Manor in Springville.
The event theme is “Both of Them,” derived from the center’s mission to offer hopeful alternatives to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
Retired TV personality and Tribune columnist Ken Lass will serve as the featured speaker for the evening, and the ever-popular Three on a String will provide entertainment.
Executive Director Sharon Stauffer says the Positive Choices mission is largely about empowerment.
“We can talk to a woman about her options all day long, but until we can empower her to welcome her child into the world, we haven’t given her the support she needs,” Stauffer said.
“Pregnancy centers exist because pregnant women need help, and they shouldn’t go through this journey alone.”
The center also offers counseling for parenting and life skills and access to adoption agencies and other destinations for children.
Individual tickets begin at the early-bird rate of $50 and are available online at: https://positive-choices.ticketleap.com/positive-choices-annual-fundraising-gala/.
“We are also offering individuals, businesses, and churches the opportunity to sponsor tables at $1,000 each and receive special recognition at our gala for their generosity,” Stauffer said.
“It’s going to be an unforgettable evening. We hope you’ll join us.”
