JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala.–Multiple cities in the Tribune coverage area are setting up for fun-filled National Night Out events tonight.
The cities of Center Point, Irondale, and Leeds are each putting on their own gatherings to help build relationships between community members and law enforcement.
National Night out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with events happening around the county.
Center Point’s event will be held at the Center Point Court Annex at 2651 Center Point Parkway from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature free hot dogs and soft drinks, music, emergency vehicles, jumbo lawn games, and more.
Irondale will host its event at the Irondale Civic Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There, families can meet with members of the Irondale Police and Fire Departments and 911 dispatchers and enjoy free food and drinks, games, dancing, and other activities.
Finally, Leeds will hold its event, hosted by the Leeds Police Department, at Leeds Memorial park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There they will have free food and drinks, inflatables, giveaways, and local vendors.
