TRUSSVILLE, Ala.–The Trussville Police and Fire Departments are collecting donated items for victims of Hurricane Helene, which tore through multiple states late last month.
The storm had a death toll of at least 230 people and has caused billions of dollars in damage as it destroyed homes, roads, and businesses.
From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, donations can be dropped off at Trussville Fire Station #1.
They are currently asking for bottled water, cleaning products, diapers, feminine products, wipes, toiletries, canned goods, shovels, work gloves, garbage bags, and other useful items.
Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, Oct. 9.
