TRUSSVILLE, Ala.–The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the dates of its annual fall carnival, celebrating the changing of the season and the hope of cooler weather.
The carnival will begin this Thursday, Oct. 17, and run through Sunday in the grassy field next to Holy Cross Episcopal Church and across from Veterans Park.
“We know the community looks forward to the carnival and are excited to have it back this fall,” said Interim Chamber Director Melissa Walker.
The fall carnival, sponsored by John Amari, will feature rides and activities for all ages as well as a selection of fun festival foods.
Entrance to the carnival is free though a wristband good for unlimited rides may be purchased for $20.
Individual ride tickets are also available for purchase.
Organizers noted that transactions will be cash only and ATM service is not guaranteed.
Parking will be available in Veterans Park and other lots along Main Street.
The chamber and the City of Trussville are also asking patrons to be considerate of the residents in the area, as well as the church, and not park on the grass or nearby driveways.
Weather permitting, the carnival is set for 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, 5-9 p.m. on Friday, 1-5 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Separate wristbands must be purchased for each session on Saturday.
