CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ala.–A Muscadine woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 Saturday night, according to ALEA Cpl. Reginal M. King.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., Hailey B. Mayfield was fatally injured when the 2018 Toyota 4Runner she was driving struck a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Adlet Uzbekov, 39, of Philadelphia, Penn.
Mayfield, 28, was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on I-20 within the city limits of Heflin.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
