CLAY COUNTY, Ala.–A 72-year-old Ashville woman died last weekend after her car overturned and hit a tree, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Vu Quang.
On Nov. 23 at approximately 10:12 p.m., Dorothy Edmondson was driving on Clay County 31 when her 2005 Ford Explorer left the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.
Edmondson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
She was transported to the Clay County Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries the next day.
The crash occurred approximately two miles north of Ashland.
