BIRMINGHAM — Officers from the Birmingham Police Department have responded to the scene of a shooting involving a 3-year-old child, according to BPD social media accounts.

The department notified the public at 8:36 a.m. on Sunday that officers were on the scene in the 2600 block of Tempest Drive.
The BPD Public Information Division was en route to the location and is expected to update the public with details of the incident.
