ATTALLA, Ala.–A Gadsden man died early Sunday morning after his SUV crashed into a bridge column near Attalla, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.
At approximately 2:43 a.m., Davieuntae D. Ackles was driving along Interstate 59 near Cleveland Avenue when his 2017 Dodge Journey left the roadway, overturned, and struck a bridge column.
Ackles, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
