JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala.–A 64-year-old man has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, Dec. 9, the sheriff office’s vice and narcotics unit executed an operation in the Pratt City and Forestdale areas, reportedly due to a large number of complaints from local residents.
Detectives later observed a Dodge Ram allegedly commit a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop, which led to the arrest of Tim Rozell and seizure of narcotics.
According to the sheriff’s office, the seizure included:
- 36 grams of marijuana – 30 bags
- 23 grams of crack cocaine – 61 bags
- 42 grams of fentanyl/methamphetamine – 32 bags
- 16 grams of methamphetamine – 26 bags
- 44 grams of clonazepam – 90 pills
- 5 grams of suboxone – 8 pills
- 10 grams of buprenorphine – 27 pills
- 36 grams of prednisone – 10 pills
Rozell is now being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
