TRUSSVILLE, Ala.–Local drivers will have to get a little creative tomorrow while trying to get around Trussville as multiple roads are expected to close.
The 2024 Trussville Christmas Parade is set to start at 2 p.m. this Saturday.
During the parade, Parkway Drive, Main Street, and Chalkville Road will be closed to traffic.
Once the parade has cleared the road, police will begin to let cars through.
The Trussville Police Department is recommending all thru traffic to avoid the mall area on Chalkville and Parkway and avoid Main Street from Chalkville Road to Parkway Drive.
The parade is scheduled to end at 4 p.m.
According to the city, there will also be construction ongoing along Roper Road from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This week drivers on North Chalkville Road have also faced lane closures as the road widening project continues.
