BIRMINGHAM — Police in Birmingham responded a person stabbed call at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, according to BPD Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
The incident occurred at a residence located in the 2500 block of 15th Street Ensley. Officers found an adult male in the residence suffering from what police believe was a stab wound.
The stabbing victim was unresponsive and was transported to UAB Hospital by personnel from Birmingham Fires and Rescue where he was pronounced dead.
Fitzgerald said police had limited information and no one is in custody at this time.
The homicide was the 151st in Birmingham in 2024, marking the deadliest year in the city’s history.
