From Tribune staff reports
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–Rain has begun to make its way into East Birmingham as temperatures begin to rise slightly above freezing.
However, police are still warning of hazardous road conditions across the region and are advising against driving unless absolutely necessary.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham also warned of the risks stating, “Although some improvement in road conditions is expected as temperatures continue to slowly rise, many roads continue to be hazardous, so please avoid unnecessary travel.”
The agency is also expecting there to be icy patches to form on roads tonight and advised caution.
This is a developing story.
