From Tribune staff reports
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–Multiple cities in the Tribune coverage area are reporting that their main roads are passable, however, drivers are still being discouraged from traveling unless necessary.
Argo has reported that most roads in the city are passable and recommended to residents who need to travel to do so before the roads refreeze tonight.
Pinson has reported that the main highways through the city are passable, though many of the side streets are still covered in snow.
Center Point has reported that the roads are “looking better” and that its warming shelter behind the fire station at 2229 Center Point Parkway will remain open tonight.
The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency has also reported that roadways are generally improving across the county, but there are still many slick spots, especially on bridges and elevated roadways.
This is a developing story.
