ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala.–As Friday night turns into Saturday morning, local police departments are reporting slushy roads with patches of ice and are continuing to advise drivers to use caution.
According to Argo PD, Argo Margaret Road is passable but still has standing water and some patches of slush.
I-59 and overpasses through Argo are passable but may have slippery spots.
Highway 11 and Roulain Road are both passable but have some areas of standing water as well as slush.
According to Moody PD, Highway 411 is passable though there may be some patches of ice.
Side streets along Moody still reportedly have slush but should be passable.
Cars are also traveling along I-20 through Moody without much issue though the interstate may have ice and snow in other stretches.
ALEA has also reported that both directions of Interstate 59 are impassable around Exit 166, halfway between Springville and Gadsden, due to ice.
Road conditions are expected to improve as temperatures rise later today.
