BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–A Birmingham woman died early Saturday morning after her car collided head-on with another vehicle on Interstate 59/20 near Fairfield.
Juanita Lashea Salery, 23, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-59/20 near Valley Road when the crash occurred, according to ALEA.
Salery was transported to UAB Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The crash closed the interstate for multiple hours.
ALEA is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
