HOOVER, Ala. — A man was found shot dead on Sunday morning in Hoover, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at around 10:52 a.m. Sunday, April 19, to the 2100 block of Emerald Point Drive to investigate a report of a person who had been shot.
According to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived, they discovered an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Personnel with Rocky Ridge Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The Hoover Police Department assisted deputies during the response and initial investigation.
Authorities said preliminary information indicates the shooting was domestic-related. No arrests had been made and no charges had been filed as of Sunday.
