TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — Registration has opened for the 2026 Trussville Witches Ride. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24 and will benefit local child Titan Lutfi.
Titan is a Trussville resident who was diagnosed with biliary atresia after experiencing jaundice and having difficulty gaining weight as a baby. At four weeks old, Titan underwent a Kasai procedure at Children’s of Alabama to restore bile flow from his liver to small intestine.
The procedure was initially unsuccessful, which led to months of complications, testing, and hospital stays before Titan was placed on a transplant list.
At 8 months old, he finally received a life-saving liver transplant at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville.
Titan remains immunocompromised and continues to receive follow-up care in Nashville. His mother stepped away from work to become his full-time caregiver as his father continues working to support the family.
The funds raised through this year’s Witches Ride will go toward easing the financial burden of Titan’s ongoing recovery.
The Trussville Witches Ride is an annual costumed bike ride through the Cahaba Homestead Village District. Every year the nonprofit picks a local individual or family dealing with hardship to benefit from the money raised.
In addition to registration, the organization is also selling 2026 Witches Ride T-shirts. They are also offering sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
The Oct. 24 ride will begin with a costumed bicycle ride through Trussville before ending with an after-party at Ferus.
