William Jackson Bearden (January 3, 1950 — August 7, 2026)
William (Bill) Jackson Bearden, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Bill loved his family deeply and never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, sense of humor, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. His presence brought warmth and laughter to family gatherings, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
William was also an avid Auburn Tigers fan…and he took that role seriously! Whether Auburn was winning, losing, or making everyone question their life choices, William remained a loyal fan. He could always find a reason to defend his Tigers, offer his opinion on the latest game, and remind everyone that “War Eagle!” was more than a cheer, it was a way of life. His Auburn pride was unwavering, and family and friends will certainly miss his game-day commentary, passionate opinions, and perhaps a few good-natured arguments about football.
He leaves behind precious memories that will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Brenda Menefee-Bearden; brother, Alan (Beth) Bearden; son, Benjamin (Crystal) Bearden; stepson, Mario (LaShon) Menefee; four grandsons, three granddaughters, and two great-grandsons, along with extended family and countless friends.
Though his passing has brought tremendous sadness, Bill is now at peace and resting in the arms of Jesus. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will continue to live through the generations he leaves behind.
Rest peacefully, Bill. You were deeply loved, you will be greatly missed, and your memory will forever live on.
