TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — Nominations are now open for the 2026 Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards, the annual celebration of the best businesses, restaurants, professionals and services across the Tribune’s nine-city coverage area.
From Aug. 20 through Sept. 21, readers in Trussville, Clay, Pinson, Argo, Center Point, Springville, Leeds, Moody and Irondale can nominate their favorite local spots in dozens of categories. The top nominees in each category will advance to the finals, with voting scheduled for Sept. 30 through Oct. 29.
The awards recognize the small businesses and professionals that form the backbone of each community — the places that hire locally, support youth sports and reinvest in the cities they serve.
Last year’s contest drew more than 600,000 votes through the nomination and finals phase across categories ranging from Best Pizza and Best Barbecue to Best Accountant, Best Dentist, Best Real Estate Agent and Best Place to Work. Winners and finalists were announced in live broadcast from the Trussville Entertainment District as well as a special section of The Trussville Tribune.
How to nominate: Readers may submit nominations once per day per device. A valid email address is required. The top four to six nominees in each category will move on to the final round.

Finalists will be announced after the nomination period closes. Winners will be revealed later this fall in a special edition of The Trussville Tribune.
