HOOVER, Ala. — Hoover High School has been deemed safe following an investigation into a threatening message sent to an administrator on Friday. As a precautionary measure, the school will be having an e-learning day.
No threats were found on campus, and the building has been reopened to staff, according to HHS.
Students will complete the day online, and extracurriculars will be held as usual.
“We are thankful to the Hoover Police Department for their immediate response and thorough investigation, and we thank our families, students, and staff for their patience and understanding as we followed our safety protocols and worked closely with law enforcement to support our school community,” the school said.
Police said the message resembled ones sent to other schools across the nation that were determined to be fraudulent.
