TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — Two suspects were taken into custody Sunday following an alleged assault involving a firearm was reported in the parking lot of the Trussville Walmart, according to the Trussville Police Department.
Officers responded around 11:39 a.m. Aug 30 to the Walmart at 5919 Trussville Crossings Parkway.
Police said the suspects had left the area before officers arrived. The victim was evaluated on-scene and was not found to have suffered any gunshot wounds.
Medics treated the victim for facial lacerations and bruising before they were transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses told police they saw two suspects assaulting the victim in the parking lot and hearing a gunshot before the suspects left the area.
Police said witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspects’ vehicle and an Alabama license plate number.
Using Flock, officers were able to locate the suspects and take them into custody without incident within 15 minutes of the call being dispatched, according to TPD.
The incident remains under investigation.
