CLAY, Ala. — The City of Moody announced on Thursday that the Fall Carnival by SonShine Amusements has been cancelled, though it is set to return next year.
In a post on social media the City of Moody said that the event was canceled due to “circumstances beyond the control” of SonShine Amusements. The carnival is, however, scheduled to return to Moody in 2027 as the Spring Carnival.
“We have maintained a longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship with SonShine Amusements for the past three decades,” said the post. “They have consistently demonstrated exceptional support for our Toys for Kids Christmas campaign and our Fire Prevention King and Queen scholarships.”
The post did not specify what the circumstances that led to the cancellation were.
