BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department seeks the public’s assistance with locating a Birmingham teenager who went missing this past past Thursday.
The BPD released a statement on Monday morning regarding the disappearance of Sean Caribe Avant Jr., 18, of Birmingham. According to authorities, Avant, who is described as a 5-foot-3 black male and weighs 130 pounds, was last seen on Feb. 6, 2020, between 2 and 3 p.m.
His family reported him missing after he never returned home.
According to the BPD, Avant was dropped off in an unknown location by a friend. The teenager is said to be active on social media, but since his disappearance, he has been inactive.
He was wearing black jeans, with a gray hoodie adorned with a tiger on the front and yellow and
white Jordan shoes at the time of his disappearance.
