From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who seemingly forgot that surveillance cameras are prevalent throughout every aspect of everyday life as she went about her way pocketing merchandise from a local store.
The woman, who is seen clear as day in a Trussville Best Buy surveillance camera, which was released by the TPD on Friday, is accused of stealing headphones and an AirPod case.
The grainy video shows the woman pocketing one item into her jeans, dropping another into her purse and stuffing another into her coat as she and a second woman meander throughout the store.
The TPD was less than impressed by the woman’s ability to be discrete.
“To the young lady who went on a scavenger hunt inside of the Trussville Best Buy … We kindly ask that you return the items you stole,” the department posted on Facebook. “We love magic but after reviewing video footage we have determined that this was a very poor attempt at making something disappear.”
If you, or someone you know, recognizes the person(s) in the video, the TPD asks that you call 205-655-2101 and ask to speak with an investigator or email tips to crimetip@trussville.org.
