MOODY — The police chief in Moody was recently awarded for a high level of executive training through the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police (AACOP).
Chief Thomas Hunt was given a trophy during the 2020 AACOP Winter Conference in Montgomery. The recognition is the highest level of training awarded through the organization.
“It means a lot,” said Hunt. “It took me seven years to get it. There are only 216 police chiefs in the state of Alabama that’s received this award in 20 years of its existence, so it’s a huge accomplishment for me.”
AACOP requires members to receive at least 20 hours of training per year.
