MOODY — There is a new place in Moody where people can go to get healthy teas and shakes, plus a little extra energy.
Moody Nutrition, at 3190 Moody Parkway, is owned by Lonnie and Janie Williams. The business offers loaded and flavored tea.
“They are loaded with Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12, ginseng, and they give you that focus factor,” said Jamie Williams. “All of those vitamins together added with aloe for absorption, gives you an all-day feeling of awareness.”
The Williams family decided to open up shop in Moody after Lonnie services 90 loaded tea shops.
“This is our first shop,” said Jamie Williams. “My best friend, her daughter is hearing impaired, and they had to move from our hometown so she could get a better education at the Alabama School for the Deaf and Blind, and she had been looking for something to do, so we asked her if we opened up a shop there if she could run it.”
That best friend is Jessica McDaniel and she is now the manager of Moody Nutrition.
The drinks have zero sugar and only 24 calories. There are also options to add collagen and protein.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. (subject to change), Saturday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
