DEKALB COUNTY – A Fort Payne man has died following an early-morning car crash in Dekalb County.
According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Cranston James Noojin, 59, was fatally injured when the 2001 Nissan Frontier he was driving failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2004 Kia Optima.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 on Dekalb County 483, approximately six miles south of Fort Payne. Police say Noojin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
