JEFFERSON COUNTY — A multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Oakman woman on Monday, August 29, at approximately 5:19 a.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Sara L. Littleton, 24, was seriously injured when the 1996 Chevrolet S-10 she was driving became disabled and was struck by a 2018 Dodge Ram driven by Dustin Doss, 38, of Trafford.
After the initial collision, the Chevrolet S-10 was then struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Steven Dunn, 64, of Birmingham.
Littleton was transported to UAB hospital in Birmingham, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 83-mile marker, approximately two miles west of Adamsville, in Jefferson County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
