HOMEWOOD — According to Carol Robinson, a gunshot was fired inside the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church rec center during an argument on Thursday morning, Nov. 9.
Robinson said that Homewood police Sgt. John Carr said the unidentified suspect fired one shot and fled the scene.
Local elementary schools were placed under a secured perimeter status out of an abbundane of caution. Students and teachers were allowed to continue class but were not allowed outside. Police do not believe that there is a threat to the public.
