SHELBY COUNTY — Beginning at 8 p.m. on February 25, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the inside and outside lanes of Interstate 65, southbound and northbound for bridge rail retrofitting between milepost 227 and milepost 229.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on February 26.
These same lane closures are planned to be in place from 8 p.m. on February 26 thru 6 a.m., on March 1.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival and departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve roadways.
